Whether you’re a first-time shopper or a regular customer at LG, understanding the return policy is crucial for a smooth shopping experience. LG’s return policy is designed to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining a standard for returns and refunds. This article will guide you through the ins and outs of the LG return policy, offering valuable tips to keep in mind should you need to return a product.
LG offers a straightforward return and refund policy for its products. Non-refurbished items can be returned within 30 calendar days after delivery, while all other products (excluding vacuums and laptops) must be returned within 15 calendar days. Products that arrive damaged or with delivery discrepancies must be reported within 5 business days to qualify for a full refund. It's essential to have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, which is valid for 15 days after issuance, to proceed with a return.
LG's policy primarily focuses on returns and refunds. While exchanges are not explicitly mentioned, customers can return a product and make a separate purchase for a different item. For defective items, LG may automatically order a replacement part and issue an RMA along with a free return shipping label.
After LG receives the returned item and it passes inspection, the refund process will be initiated. Restocking and packing costs will be deducted from the purchase price and relevant taxes, which will be reimbursed back to the original payment method. The time frame for the refund to reflect on your account may vary depending on your financial institution.
If you bought an item from LG and you want to return it, you need to follow these steps:
For appliances, you typically have 15 calendar days to initiate a return after delivery. Make sure to request an RMA within that period and return the appliance within the validity period of the RMA.
Proof of purchase is required to process a return with LG. Therefore, it's important to keep your receipt or invoice to ensure a smooth return process.
New and unused parts can be returned to LG, but there are restrictions. Used items are subjected to the manufacturer's warranty and may not be eligible for return unless they are defective.
All returns must be in the original packaging and include all original items (e.g., manuals, remotes, cables) that came in the box. Returns with missing items may result in a partial refund or may not be accepted.
If you need to contact LG regarding a return, call the LG Order Support at 1-844-810-0070 or email [email protected]. Customer service is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, excluding national holidays.
In summary, LG's return policy is designed to be fair and efficient, ensuring that customers can shop with confidence. Remember to report any issues promptly, retain your receipt, and return items in their original condition. By following these tips and understanding the policy details, you can navigate LG's return process with ease.

LG customer service is responding with no logic for the cooktop purchased in a new home provided by the builder, asking for proof of purchase and not ready to accept the home closure date with is my equipment purchase date, and asking to pay for a manufacturing defect of the equipment.
